* Turtle with pecans & caramel *

* Ingredients :

°96 walnut halve
°ten ounce dark chocolate, I used  bag of Nestlé Dark Chocolate Chips
°Eleven oz Bag Kraft Caramels, Unwrapped (Soft Type)
°a t butter
°2 t evaporated milk
°Cover 2 baking sheets with silicone mats or parchment paper.

Preheat oven 350F
Put the nuts on an uncoated baking sheet and toast for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.
Heat half of the chocolate in a microwave-safe container in the microwave on high power for 1 minute. Remove and delete. Microwave other 15-30 sec & stir again until and smooth.
Place small amounts of chocolate on prepared baking sheets and scoop out one-quarter size. Top with 4 pecan halves to form turtle legs. (See the pictures)
You can move on to the next step immediately or place the tray in the freezer to firm up for 5 minutes.
Melt the caramels, butter and milk in the microwave. Start in one minute, stir and, if necessary, heat in 15 second increments until smooth. I like to let the caramel cool slightly to thicken before proceeding.
Adding t (about 1/2 teaspoon) of caramel to top of every turtle.
Again, placing tray in freezer for 5 min.
Melt the remaining chocolate and add a small amount to each turtle, spreading it to cover the caramel. I like to give the chocolate a little swirl as I lift the spoon. Put the tray in the freezer for 5 minutes.
Turtles can be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator. These freeze well for longer storage (place them in a sturdy zippered freezer bag).

Enjoy !
